Purpose of the Position

  • Applying the use of process improvement, reengineering methodologies and principles in accomplishing organizational goals and objectives.  
  • Streamline and standardize business process as workflows.
  • Develops tools for allocating resources and tracking the status and progress of projects.
  • Develops and communicates department objectives and plans to accomplish.

Principal Responsibilities of the Position 

  • Develop documentation including clear and detailed process maps and work flows.
  • Monitors on a daily basis, team performance, communicates frequently and resolves operational and performance issues in a timely manner.
  • Communicates team objectives to support global transformation solutions, world sourcing and global sourcing goals in small to medium sized teams.
  • Identifies and informs senior management of staffing requirements to ensure that team is adequately staffed to perform assigned duties.
  • Promotes the understanding and use of global sourcing and workflow management services.
  • Ensuring project team and staff training and development, including mentoring, coaching, and establishing direction for team members.
  • Developing methods to monitor project or area progress.
  • Managing cost-to-completion budget and resource allocation, initiating corrective actions when necessary.
  • Meeting projects commitments, including communicating through oral and written reports that define plans, problems, and resolutions with existing and potential customers, stakeholders, and appropriate levels of management.
  • All other duties assigned.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, engineering, or related field preferred.
    • Six or more years of work flow analysis or industrial relations experience.
    • Three or more years of leadership experience included.
    • Experience working with control and assurance methodologies.
    • Experience working with defined internal company process framework as well as client business practices, policies, and procedures.
    • Experience working with project management software, as well as email, word processing, database, presentation and spreadsheet software (macro coding, pivot tables, and charting functions).
    • Experience working with financial accounting practices related to project labor budgeting, authorization, and tracking.


    • Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA badge.
    • Must be able to provide a certified Birth Certificate (with state seal), Passport, or INS Citizenship documents on date of hire (candidate will be sent home if this paperwork is not provided upon arrival on date of hire).
    • Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written, in an effective manner.
    • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
    • Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment background check and drug screen test. 
    • Clean, neat, and professional personal appearance.

    Special Knowledge and Skills Required

    • Ability to work independently in accordance with company directives, policies and procedures.
    • An understanding of the necessity to recognize who is "the client" and the importance of meeting the clients needs. This includes providing realistic expectations, establishing specific customer satisfaction standards, and actively monitoring client satisfaction.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills, both in communicating with the client and in cultivating team dynamics, team building, and group motivation.
    • The ability to recognize problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent, evaluate alternates, and find solutions using a systematic, multi-step approach.
    • An outstanding grasp of information technology concepts and processes and the capability to quickly adapt to new or changing technologies.


    • Prior knowledge of NASA site, experienced with working on government installations preferred. 
    • Prior experience with project management and project scheduling software a plus.
